Set in the Buckinghamshire village of Cheddington, this "picture postcard" public house has been part of village life for longer than anyone can remember!  Providing a great atmosphere all year round, with a roaring log fire in the winter and a spacious beer garden for those sunny days.  We also have the facility for a private dining room seating up to twenty for those special occasions.  Friendly dogs are very welcome in the bar and garden.  Free dog biscuits are waiting on the bar.

The pub is about 10 minutes walk from the Grand Union canal and is popular with walkers. There are some very good Golf courses nearby as well as the Ridgeway path, the Ashridge Estate and the National History Museum in Tring.

From bar meals to a full dining experience we pride ourselves on our seasonally changing homecooked traditional pub menu.

Sunday lunch is extremely popular, offering a choice of four starters, two roast meats, a fish and vegetarian dish accompanied by lovely homemade puddings.

Our May and August bank holiday beer and music festivals, and quarterly quiz nights are just some to look out for.
